Choir Sings "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" for Teacher With Cancer
Need a good cry? The choir students at PS22 in Staten Island, N.Y. have something that might help. The group of talented young singers, under the directon of Gregg Breinberg, prepared a special song for teacher Adriana Lopez, who has been going through a tough time.
Lopez was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and her students were inspired by her story.
“This song was suggested by Ms. Lisa for our dedication to this strong and inspiring woman, and it’s hard to imagine a more perfect selection,” the caption beneath the YouTube video reads.
As the students swayed and gesticulated in their seats, they began singing Martina McBride’s hit “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” a song written about a cancer patient whose husband supports her while she battles the disease.
